Believe it or not – Shall Not Fall is nearly five years old! In December of 2018 we will officially have our fifth birthday. It was in late 2013 when fate brought together Zac, Leonidas and Mark who quickly decided to start writing and recording their own brand of indie metal tunes. Now five years later, after many songs were written, and many gigs played there is no looking back.
In five years we have yet to post any live video footage. Well that is soon to change. We are working on uploading previously unseen video footage for anyone who missed seeing Shall Not Fall play live (or those who want to relive the experience). We also have some archived footage that may be released down the road. It is our hope to keep the videos coming on a regular basis. So if you never managed to see us live yet, you will get the chance at Shall Not Fall.com in the near future.
Thanksgiving is coming up fast here in Canada. We are thankful for the music and each other. We hope you will enjoy your holiday with friends and family….and metal!
Shall Not Fall returns to Guelph MAY 25TH!
We are very happy to be invited back to Dstrct night club (10 Wyndham st.N Guelph, Ontario).
It will be a massive night of metal as KRONIKNOISE PROMOTIONS has SNF playing with 3 American metal bands :
Filth (North Carolina)
and Deadland (Florida)
These guys are out there pounding metal hard on the road and we are happy to join them at the best metal venue in Guelph!
This is an all ages/licensed show –
Doors open at 9pm
$10 dollar cover
For those of you who missed us back in March – there is a new song in the set to check out. See it live and let us know what you think.
Thanks to Dstrct and Kroniknoise Promotions for keeping live metal alive and kicking in the Guelph area!
Hope to see you there!
Shall Not Fall has some news to share:
We have been selected as the Gain Music Artist of the Month for August. Along with that honor is a headlining spot at the popular Guelph venue called Dstrct.
The show is on Friday August 25th and marks the three year anniversary of the premiere Guelph club for live music. This will be the first time playing Dstrct for Shall Not Fall. It is a venue that has been on our “must play” list from very early on in our development.
The full line up for the night is:
Shall Not Fall // Romancer // GOLD FINCH // Corbin Giroux || 9pm doors.
Dstrct is located in downtown Guelph at 10 Wyndham st.
We had a “secret” show recently at another local venue The Red Brick Cafe where we tested some as yet unreleased material in a casual, unplugged format. The Red Brick Cafe is a very cool place that supports live music and artists and we were treated very well there! Check them out at 8 Douglas st. Guelph!
This was actually the third such show for Zac this year as he continues to stretch his wings and bring SNF music wherever he can! Zac can bring the heavy – unplugged, solo, duo he does it all!
And finally, special thanks goes out to Zack Feenstra for his photographic expertise. His work kicks ass and is our new main image on this site.
A new show – and a good cause coming together for Shall Not Fall on December 2nd 2016.
Our third show of the year will be in Port Elgin, Ontario – helping out the local food bank. The Queen’s Bar is hosting the third annual Punk Rock food bank fundraiser and is located at 603 Goderich Street.
Admission price is a donation or unopened food item.
We are honored to do our part to make someone’s Christmas season a little brighter this year. Three other bands will be throwing in their efforts as well –
Soul Slave (feature act)
If you can spare any food or donations please give what you can to help out the less fortunate. It could be the best gift you give this year.
This show will also land on Shall Not Fall‘s third anniversary! Time flies when you’re having fun. If you will be in the area, or can make the trip – come celebrate with us AND help out a great cause at the same time!
Hello everyone! Tonight Shall Not Fall will descend upon the city of Cambridge, Ontario and unleash an original set of heavy music. The Warehouse is hosting a great night of metal from the bands:
My Dear Malice
And Shall Not Fall opens the whole show. So make sure you arrive early and stay late!
In other news the very first Shall Not Fall band merch has arrived! Stickers and buttons in either black on white OR white on black options are now available at our live shows. We have other ideas up our sleeves…but you will just have to wait for us to announce them in the future.
One last bit of news: Shall Not Fall has moved into a new band “home” (rehearsal space). So far it is working out very well. We got to break in the new room rehearsing for a show – (is there any better way?). I have a feeling we will need to rehearse for another show before the end of 2016 but you will just have to wait for an official announcement on this blog, in the near future.
So come on out and have a few beers, watch some amazing bands, and don’t be afraid to say “hi”! Hope to see you there.
Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving!
Shall Not Fall had a very successful first live show last month. Thanks to all who came in support of us in our home town! We appreciate each and everyone of you. The band was very happy with the show and the great venue that is Van Gogh’s Ear. We were treated very well and hope to bring more Shall Not Fall energy there again in the near future.
As the door opens into live performances, another door closes. Our band “home” of the last 20 months dubbed “The Compound” is no longer able to accommodate us. This was our first real band “home” where we got to prepare for live shows and create/record original music etc. It was an almost entirely secluded atmosphere. Sadly, the property is slated for demolition and development as more urban sprawl swallows the area.
We have already reconvened at Leonidas’ home to press onward. SHALL NOT FALL initially met and created at Leonidas’ before we moved into The Compound. It’s a cozy, intimate vibe that we are again thankful to have! We will keep our eyes peeled for a more permanent band room as the days and weeks go on. There are many options for bands to rehearse locally – but the odds of finding a totally private and unique environment such as the Compound will be challenging to say the least.
One of the final sessions at the Compound….you will be missed!
Marching forward into more positive news – we recently announced another show, this time in Cambridge, Ontario at another amazing venue called “THE WAREHOUSE“.
We will be opening an intense night of heavy music with headliners:
ERIMHA and PANZERFAUST
as well as Guests:
MY DEAR MALICE and AEPOCH.
The show happens on Friday November 4th 2016 – mark your calendars!
See our “Live Shows” page for all the details and for tickets.
We are looking forward to bringing SHALL NOT FALL to a new town and a new venue. THE WAREHOUSE is a relatively new spot in the Cambridge live music scene that is doing things right. It’s a kick ass venue with lots of live shows to satisfy anyone. We are thankful for being included in the show which is being put on by ILLUMINATED PRODUCTIONS. Thanks guys!
That’s all for now. Go and grab another helping of turkey have a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving from all of us in SHALL NOT FALL – see you soon!
